2 Day Singapore Itinerary
Two full days, split so you’re not backtracking, with the gardens and the skyline on day one and Sentosa on day two.
Two days in Singapore is enough to properly cover Gardens by the Bay and the Marina Bay skyline, and still get out to Sentosa for a proper beach and theme park day. Here’s how I’d split it, day by day.
Gardens & the Skyline
Start at Gardens by the Bay, the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest worth booking ahead, then walk to Marina Bay Sands for the SkyPark view. Grab lunch nearby, then spend the afternoon wandering Chinatown’s temples and markets.
Finish the day at a hawker centre for dinner, then head back to Gardens by the Bay for the Garden Rhapsody light show.
Afternoon Chinatown
Evening Hawker dinner, Garden Rhapsody light show
Sentosa
Spend the day on Sentosa Island, a short cable car or monorail ride from the mainland, home to Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium and Siloso Beach. Pick one or two attractions rather than trying to cover the whole island, it’s considerably bigger than it looks from the map.
In the evening, catch the Wings of Time light and water show on the beach before heading back to the mainland for a final dinner.
Afternoon Siloso Beach
Evening Wings of Time show, dinner back in the city
Getting around across both days
Singapore’s MRT is genuinely efficient, covering both Marina Bay and the route out to Sentosa via the cable car or Sentosa Express. Walking works well within each district once you’ve arrived.
If you only have time for one thing each day
Day one, make it Gardens by the Bay, genuinely the single most distinctive sight in the city. Day two, make it Sentosa, a proper contrast to the urban pace and one of the most popular family destinations in Singapore.
That’s everything I’ve got.
