2 Day Vancouver Itinerary
Two full days, split so you’re not backtracking, with Stanley Park and Granville Island on day one and the North Shore mountains on day two.
Two days in Vancouver is enough to properly cover Stanley Park and the city’s downtown highlights, and still get out to the North Shore for a proper taste of the mountains within reach. Here’s how I’d split it, day by day.
Stanley Park & Granville Island
Start with a bike ride or walk around Stanley Park’s Seawall, stopping at the totem poles and Prospect Point for the views. Grab lunch nearby, then spend the afternoon at Granville Island, wandering the Public Market and artisan shops.
Finish the day with dinner on the island or in nearby Yaletown, fresh seafood widely a Vancouver signature.
Afternoon Granville Island, the Public Market
Evening Seafood dinner
The North Shore Mountains
Spend the morning at the Capilano Suspension Bridge, the 137-metre-long bridge, Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk all included with one admission. A free shuttle runs from downtown, worth booking tickets ahead for a discount.
In the afternoon, head to Grouse Mountain, reachable by gondola from near Capilano, for hiking trails and sweeping views over the city and the Strait of Georgia. Head back to Vancouver for a final evening.
Afternoon Grouse Mountain
Evening Return to Vancouver for dinner
Getting around across both days
Stanley Park and downtown are genuinely walkable or bikeable, most of day one’s sights sit within a comfortable ride of each other. Day two requires the free Capilano shuttle or a car, both the bridge and Grouse Mountain sit across the water in North Vancouver.
If you only have time for one thing each day
Day one, make it Stanley Park, genuinely the single most defining feature of the city. Day two, make it Capilano Suspension Bridge, a proper contrast to the downtown pace and one of the most distinctive experiences near Vancouver.
That’s everything I’ve got.
